Stan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1981 and his Master of Divinity Degree in 1984 with a concentration in counseling. He is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), a Substance Abuse Expert (SAE), and is a member of The Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC).
Stan's practice (Carlson Counseling Services LLC) is in the office space of Riggins & Associates Counseling, Inc.
Stan worked with Pathfinder Support Services for six years prior to beginning private practice. He worked with Lutheran Family Services and Maplewood Counseling in Omaha. He has extensive experience with counseling families and individuals. His areas of expertise include: depression, lifestyle changes, anxiety, stress management, anger management, family and marital counseling, sex deviance, among other mental health disorders, and drug and alcohol evaluations/treatment.
